OpTecBB successfully hosted a special edition of its PhD2CEO series in collaboration with xG-Incubator, Silicon Allee, and Berlin Quantum. The event brought together PhD students, researchers, founders, and deeptech professionals for an evening focused on effective communication in science and technology.
Under the theme “Communication Skills in Deeptech”, participants explored how complex innovations can be communicated clearly to investors, industry partners, customers, and the broader public. A highlight of the evening was the inspiring keynote by Collette Wasielewski (MotionLab), who shared practical strategies in her talk “Making Deep Tech Understood”. Her presentation demonstrated how compelling storytelling and clear messaging can help transform highly technical innovations into accessible and impactful narratives.
Beyond the presentations, the event offered extensive networking opportunities, enabling attendees to connect across disciplines and strengthen collaborations within Berlin’s vibrant deeptech ecosystem. The exchange between academia, startups, and industry reflected the collaborative spirit that drives innovation in photonics, quantum technologies, and related high-tech fields.
