Zusammenfassung
As manufacturing evolves toward more agile “on-demand” models, this workshop provides a unique opportunity to examine how dynamic laser beam shaping technologies, AI-enabled decision support, interoperable data platforms and modular production schemes can turn the vision of servitised manufacturing into reality.
Why This Workshop Matters
- Bridging technology and services: Through the workshop, participants will learn how laser-based manufacturing can be offered as a service — removing the need for heavy upfront investments while enabling flexibility, reconfigurability and on-demand production.
- Cross-sector relevance: The discussions will cover applications across key industries including automotive e-mobility, aerospace, fusion energy, hydrogen, and food packaging — demonstrating the broad potential of laser-servitisation.
- Digital & sustainable manufacturing: Combined with digital platforms, IIoT, real-time AI, digital twins and life-cycle based tools, laser-production-as-a-service supports sustainable, circular and resource-efficient manufacturing aligned with European Green Deal objectives.
